Today - Sunday, September 16, 2018 - is one for the record books! To say that today was jam-packed with activities is an understatement. We had programs from Bannockburn to Navy Pier, Buffalo Grove to Skokie and everywhere in between. Thank you to all of the staff, volunteers, parents and participants who made today so memorable.
Back to School WERQ
Thanks to Dana Pinsel for sponsoring an awesome work out class benefiting Keshet at the Midtown Athletic Club Bannockburn. This was a great way to introduce people to Keshet and dance, dance, dance.
Safety Care Training for Staff
Keshet staff from MY Life, GADOL and Keshet Day School spent this morning doing professional development at the business office in Northbrook. Jackie Fomond and Erica Schwab led the session that covered a wide range of topics related to behavior management, supportive interaction and de-escalation strategies.
First Day of Sunday School for Everyone
Keshet Sunday School opened for 2018-19! At ICJA, students did music and art projects related to the High Holidays. Classes also started at YTT and in our inclusion program at Temple Beth-El.
Today was also the launch of a new Keshet partnership with Anshe Emet Synagogue in Chicago. Keshet and Anshe Emet are collaborating to provide inclusive Sunday School. We are currently supporting five students and welcomed a new inclusion coordinator, Jori Wineburgh.
Social Opportunities and Adult Recreation ventured out on their first community outing of the year – bowling!
High fives all around at our second fall baseball game! We had an awesome turnout, excited players and enthusiastic fans. There are two more games in the fall season on September 23 and September 30.
BBYO Fall Kickoff Yacht Party
Over 400 Jewish teens are on Lake Michigan cruising, schmoozing, and grooving! Keshet is there providing support for our teens involved in BBYO.
This is what Keshet is all about – offering exceptional programs and experiences in our community. What an awesome way to kick off fall!
