Presented by Debbie Harris, M.Ed., Director of Adult Programs at Keshet
People with disabilities have been invisible in our society for many years. It has only been in the past 10-15 years that society has begun to recognize the ability of all of its citizens. As a result, people with disabilities have not had the same experiences and opportunities to learn how to make decisions, form lasting friendships and relationships, experience community resources and have independent lives.
During this webinar, Debbie will discuss the many different ways to plan a meaningful day for teens and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, such as working, taking classes, volunteerism and more. She will have conversations with Keshet participants Estella Levin, Jonathan Weissbrot and Zahava Auerbach, to discuss their experiences and what they do on a daily basis that provides them with the opportunities to live meaningful lives.
