On February 18th, we had a special Creative Writing class. We had a girls-only morning, because we had visiting women from the Young Women’s Flex Board of JUF. This group of women are philanthropists, which we learned means that they raise money for the Federation to help Jews here, and in Israel. We had so much fun with them.
We asked Cara what her favorite hobby was, and she told us that she loves doing arts and crafts with her kids. Shelby said that her favorite movie is Shrek. We recently watched Shrek here at GADOL also, and we loved it! Stephanie told us that she has a lot of musicals that she likes, but right now she’s enjoying Wicked. Everyone agreed that we all love Wicked! Heidi told us that her favorite food is pasta. Sara doesn’t have regular TV, so she can’t watch The Voice. A different Sara told us that she likes watching basketball. Someone asked Shana if she was planning to go to the Keshet dinner, and she said she was hoping to! A lot of people said that they would love to go.
We learned a lot about them and they learned about us. We also wrote a Tu B’shvat mad lib with them.
We hope they come back again!
