Take a Bite of Transition’s Delicious Hamantaschen

Get ready to bake some delicious hamantaschen with Keshet’s Transition program! These traditional, triangular-shaped Purim treats are a fun and tasty way to celebrate the holiday, whether you prefer a jam or a chocolate-filled version. Follow along with the visuals and step-by-step instructions created by our Transition staff to make your very own batch of homemade hamantaschen!


You will need:

Pre-Made Dough Oven @ 350
Grape Jelly  (or jelly of choice)Fluff
Chocolate SpreadFlour
Cookie Sheets Parchment Paper
6 Cups3 teaspoons
3 Rolling Pins 3 Cutting Boards


Directions:

1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Place parchment paper on cooking sheets.


2. Roll dough out onto a lightly floured surface at a 1/2-inch thickness. Cut dough into circles using the rim of a drinking glass; place 2 inches apart onto the prepared cookie sheets. Spoon about 1 to 2 teaspoons of filling into the center of each cookie.

            


3. Fold in two sides and pinch them together. Fold up the last of the triangle. Pinch edges to form three corners.


4. Bake in the preheated oven until lightly browned, 12 to 15 minutes. 


5. Let cookies cool on the cookie sheets and enjoy!
