Team members in GADOL’s Healthy Living group created a simple and healthy treat: Patriotic Chocolate-Covered Strawberries. These festive berries are easy to make and perfect for your Independence Day celebrations. Follow the recipe below and add a touch of red, white and blue to your holiday weekend!

Recipe adapted from Princess Pinky Girl

Ingredients

  • 1 pint fresh strawberries
  • 1 package of white chocolate candy melts
  • 1/2 blue sprinkles

Directions

  1. Wash and dry the strawberries.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the white chocolate candies in 30 second intervals. Stir until smooth.
  3. Dip each strawberry halfway into the melted white chocolate.
  4. Before the chocolate fully dries, dip the tips into blue sprinkles.
  5. Place the strawberries on a parchment-lined tray and let them cool until the chocolate hardens.
