Keshet Melton Course

Jewish learning for all

Explore Jewish text and traditions in an inclusive, discussion-based course for adults 18+. In partnership with the Florence Melton School of Adult Jewish Learning, this 10-week program is taught by experienced educators and welcomes learners of all backgrounds and abilities to connect, reflect and grow together.

Cohort meets Wednesdays in Highland Park from 10:00-11:00am starting February 11.

Designed for everyone

Matan adapted the Florence Melton School’s curriculum to create inclusive and accessible lessons designed for adults of all backgrounds and abilities. No prior knowledge or reading skills are needed—all materials are provided and tailored to support your learning needs.

Interactive & engaging material

Dive into Jewish life through hands-on activities, group discussions and partner study. Explore topics including Shabbat, holidays, Jewish texts and life cycle events. This course encourages connection, reflection and meaningful learning in a supportive environment.

Support when you need it

Classes include a support ratio of 1:5 to meet individual needs. The course is taught by Bat-El Lieberman, Keshet’s Director of Jewish Life. With a deep connection to Jewish learning and extensive knowledge of Keshet’s community, Bat-El will create a warm and supportive space for every learner.

The 12-week course has a heavily subsidized fee that includes all materials such as textbooks, art supplies and interactive activities. Participants are expected to attend at least 9 of the 12 classes to receive a certificate of completion.
