Message from CEO

For 2024, we want to create more moments where people are welcomed and supported in the best possible programs. There’s a lot on the horizon at Keshet this year, and we hope you will be part of it.

We are more than just a support system; we are a family that helps each other reach new heights, overcome challenges, and chase our dreams. Thank you for being here tonight for Keshet. Let us be reminded that we are here together, not just for an evening but for a lifetime.

Amazing is more than the statistics and the numbers. Amazing are all people who are thriving in Keshet’s programs. Amazing is our Board and our team of 130 staff. Amazing is the dedication and support of our families and community partners. Amazing is all of you.

As the new year approaches and I reflect on Keshet’s mission, I know without a shadow of a doubt that we will get there—all communal spaces will be inclusive and welcoming to people with disabilities.

As we prepare for Keshet’s 40th birthday celebration, there are many things circling in my head. I can’t help but think about our humble beginnings 40 years ago, when a small group of parents joined together to find a way to provide a place in the Jewish community for their children with disabilities.

Message from Jennifer Phillips in response to the tragedy in Highland Park

For a class in a Masters program, Jen Phillips, Keshet’s CEO, explores Tikkun Olam, traditional Jewish texts and the connection to Keshet.

Keshet as an organization does not plan any specific programming for JDAIM. If that sounds antithetical to who we are as an organization, it actually is not. It is in fact exactly because of who we are and what we do every day that we do not have specific programming for JDAIM.

As we celebrate Keshet’s 40th birthday in 2022, we are even more committed to our mission of creating a community of belonging.
